Chevron Crazy

{ Rugs / Runner / Party Decorations / Necklace / Lucite Tray / Invite / Painting / Shower Curtain / Chair }

You’d think I’d be sick of chevron because it’s everywhere, but I still love it in small doses. Just pick one piece to show off this funky and bold print. Much more and your guests will think you’ve overdosed… on chevron.

Customizing Your Space

Along with my upcoming move, I’ll be working from home a lot….which I think I’m going to really enjoy when it’s -15 degrees outside. I’ve also been thinking about how to jazz up my office space. I have a great desk, but the chair I’ve been using is my great grandmother’s needle point covered chair. It’s wobbly and squeaky and I really don’t want to be blamed for ruining this family heirloom.

A few months ago, I came across this image (above) via Pinterest and followed it back to Apartment Therapy, where you can see this entire (fabulous) office space. It was soon decided that I, too, needed an awesome chair. I love how they used two different patterns that share the same color. The nail heads add a little extra detail to make it spectacular.

This past weekend, I ventured over to Bishop Art District to meet with Ashley at 4 Love Studio. Unlike a lot of interior designers I see around town, these girls stray away from the traditional. They’ll design the piece to reflect your own personal style and make sure you stay within your budget. Perfect for those of us in our twenty-somethings who still want cool custom pieces in our apartments!

After looking at a million fabrics, I settled on these two with silver nail heads. I can’t tell you how excited I am! Will it make me more productive? Only time will tell…
