This week has been a long one. I made a trip to the suburbs on Tuesday and then spent the rest of the week playing catch up with my inbox. Do you ever have those weeks where it’s like every time you check an email, five more magically appear? I wish it didn’t make me stress so much, but it sure does.
Yesterday, I was really productive and it paid off! It was so nice to wake up this morning and only have a few emails. Oliver & I went on our morning walk, a chilly one, and now he’s snoozing in the front room with the sun shining on him while I blog and drink a steamy cup of coffee. A perfect morning if you ask me!
Here are a few glimpses from this week! Now that I look at them I feel accomplished more than I give myself credit for this week, do I see a new tradition forming?
ONE / A coral chunk I ordered from One King’s Lane arrived. It was even bigger than I imagined and I just love it!
TWO / I finally painted the back side of my shelves in the living room. I bought the paint over 3 months ago.. oops. They definitely make a statement and a visitor recently asked, ‘was anything on those shelves before?’ to which I replied, ‘yes, literally the exact same stuff’, it just blended in. Needless to say, I’m really happy with them and I love how everything pops against the dark background. Although the styling needs a bit of work…(the paint color is Behr’s Amazon Stone)
THREE / Oliver snoozing in the sunlight — his normal morning routine. I just love his red coloring! It’s only gotten more beautiful as he grows!
FOUR / That trip to the suburbs was to visit Ikea. I got there before it even opened and it was the perfect time to shop. It was empty. I stocked up on a ton of really great frames after seeing these on Kelly’s blog and also scooped up these black and white pillows for less than $25 each after buying the insert too. How can you not love that place?
FIVE / These arrived yesterday and have only gotten more gorgeous as they bloom. Thanks Rob!
I hope everyone had a great Valentine’s Day yesterday. I spent mine at my friend Paige’s painting my nails, chit-chatting, wining and snacking on cake balls. Tonight Rob and I are celebrating Valentine’s Day, which means I need to go to the grocery, now. Have a fabulous weekend!
